- Let's just start by saying that cars are usually damaged when they have hit a pothole, so consider yourself lucky if your car has none of these symptoms.
- You feel as if you don't have much control over your vehicle; your car starts to sway when you are making easy turns and it might bottom out on some streets.
- Your vehicle is bouncing a lot on rough roads; this may mean you have steering or suspension damage. These items are really important to how safe your vehicle is because they provide the handling.
- You notice that your car is pulling a lot to one direction and there is uneven wear on your tires. If this is happening then you have a problem with your alignment. If you want your tires to last a long time you need to have proper alignment in your vehicle.
- Your tires have low pressure, bulges or blisters on the sides and there may be dents on the rim. Get your tires checked right away if you notice any of these signs, your tires are so important to your automobile's safety.
It's annoying to take your car in, but it is worth getting it checked out if you have hit a major pothole. Better to know you are safe on the road then assume and pay for it later.
