ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
As a Bill Jacobs Technician, you will be in charge of performing maintenance and repairs on customers’ vehicles. You will receive repair orders from the dispatcher, at which point you will take the vehicle to the stall area to perform the required work. Communicate promptly with the service advisor if you find that extra work is needed, the service will take longer than expected, or the requested service is not required. If the service requires parts or fluids, you will communicate with the parts department to get what you need. Service technicians tag and save parts per inventory management procedures. As you perform service, you must document your work and perform quality checks. In addition, you should work accurately and efficiently, following all state, local, and federal laws and upholding dealership and factory standards. In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, service technicians attend regular training classes to keep abreast of factory bulletins.
