I called about a car that I saw on line and wanted, he let me know there was high interest in that car and had me apply for financing and pay a deposit on line to secure the vehicle for me. Instead of asking me for my name or checking my appointment, he repeatedly assumed I was there for my Volkswagen and kept saying that Volkswagen was next door, even after I explained multiple times I had a MINI appointment.” “At no point initially did he ask for my name, phone number, or whether I owned a MINI, and I felt like I had to repeatedly justify why I was even there. After I was finally seated, he asked where I bought the car and why I didn’t buy it there, rather than focusing on helping me with my scheduled service. What should have been a simple check-in turned into me feeling dismissed and unwelcome. I expect better customer service, especially from a premium brand like Mini. Great experience at Bill Jacobs VW. Cesar Mendoza is a wonderful salesman. He is responsive, helpful and informative. I went to Bill Jacobs for service for something that was under warranty. The service department told me that I had issues with front axle boot, engine mounts, suspension and shock absorbers, abnormal tire wear, and that I didn't have the latest software upgrade. I went to an independent mechanic that specializes in German cars for everything but the front axle boot which Bill Jacobs repaired. It turns out that there wasn't anything wrong with my suspension and shock absorbers and my tires where fine. The cost for the engine mounts at the independent mechanic were half the cost of the Bill Jacobs estimate. Also, Bill Jacobs admitted that I didn't need to upgrade software, but it was a way for them to make $200 for something that I didn't need. So, Bill Jacobs was going to charge me thousands of dollars for work that didn't need to be done!!! The final straw was when they provide my contact information to SiriusXM so they could solicit me for a subscription. My advice is to only go there for service if you want to pay for services that need need to be performed. Not only will I not use their service department again, I will never buy a BMW car again since I have lost trust in BMW service departments.
