Bill Jacobs Motorsport is driven by community—and our partnership with City Year Chicago exemplifies that commitment. As the presenting partner of Ripples of Hope, we’re helping fuel year-round tutoring, mentoring, and leadership development for hundreds of Chicago Public Schools students.

Our Partnership Journey

• Inception (2023): We first connected with City Year Chicago through shared values in youth empowerment and educational equity.
  
• Formal Partnership (2024): After touring tutoring sites on Chicago’s South and West Sides, we committed as a presenting partner to amplify City Year’s reach.
  
• Ongoing Engagement:  Beyond Ripples of Hope, our team volunteers monthly—assisting with literacy workshops, math labs, and college-prep sessions.
  

Ripples of Hope Gala 2025 Highlights

• Date & Venue: April 21, 2025 | The Field Museum, Chicago, IL
• Attendance: 400+ business leaders, educators, and community advocates
• Fund Raised: $150,000+ to support 10 AmeriCorps teams
• Program Reach:
  • 500+ students receiving one-on-one tutoring
  • 1,200 hours of mentorship in reading, math, and social-emotional learning
  • 20 school partnerships across high-need neighborhoods

About City Year

Many K–12 students nationwide need extra support, meaningful relationships, and additional resources to stay engaged, succeed academically, and graduate ready for college and careers. City Year answers that call by placing AmeriCorps members—young adults aged 17 to 25—into classrooms each school day.

• For Students: AmeriCorps members deliver targeted academic interventions, career-readiness skills, and personal encouragement that help students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
• For Members: A year of service with City Year equips these young adults with practical leadership, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills, alongside exclusive scholarship opportunities to advance their own goals.
• For Communities: By collaborating closely with schools and districts, City Year refines its approach and shares insights that drive a broader conversation about equitable access to high‑quality learning experiences and improved academic outcomes for every student.
